Outreach and Missions:
At Church Alive, we live the Great Commission: “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19-20) We disciple, equip, teach, mentor and coach people to become servant leaders in their work, families, church and around the world. We send out mission trips to the nations and teach people how to be a positive witness for Jesus Christ in every relationship. We desire to invite people at all times to experience of the Love of God in Jesus Christ.
Pastoral Care:
Church is not just a place for meeting, but for relationships – relationships with God and each other. Jesus modeled this philosophy by discipling through personal relationships; through pastoring, modeling, impartation, and releasing, Jesus trained ordinary men to do extraordinary exploits.
We take Jesus’ discipleship command seriously. Our Pastoral Care Ministry exists to meet the needs of everyone who comes through our doors – not just the members of our church. Pastoral Care Ministry members are here to pray with people about their needs, ensure they are connected relationally to people in our church, and to help out with any practical needs we can meet.
We are dedicated to reaching beyond the walls of our church to serve our community – but not at the expense of our church family. Pastoral Care is taking care of the members of our church, making sure the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs of the people in our family are met. Our pastoral staff is committed to providing encouragement, help to the poor and those in prison, prayer, counseling, hospital visitation, and individual or family ministry whenever it is needed. We are always here for you to help and encourage you with whatever you need. We are committed to making sure no one in our family feels alone or falls through the cracks.
Street Ministry:
Our Street Ministry teams proactively reach out to our community by going to where the people are, just like Jesus did: we go right to their homes. The goal is to let people know that we have an open door policy for anyone to come and get involved. It’s as simple as a neighborly knock on the door, a warm greeting to give them a personal connection to Church Alive, providing information on the individual ministries that are most relevant for each person we meet, and – if they’re open – praying with them about any need they have right there at their homes. Our teams are NEVER pushy, preachy, or overwhelming.
Healing Team:
Healing. We don’t just believe that we have been given the ability to heal sickness and disease in the name of Jesus – we believe we have been given the responsibility to do so. We are committed to training our people and then sending them out with confidence in the power of God and his desire to bring healing. Under the leadership of our elders, our Healing Team goes into hospital rooms to minister to patients and their family members. We share scriptures about healing, pray with them, let them know they’re not alone, and help with any needs that we can.
